Weyford Junior School was opened in 1972, having grown out of the former primary school. The school is divided into three wings, each containing four rooms around a central shared area. It is a County co-educational school, catering for 320 children between the ages of 7 and 11.
A warm welcome to Weyford Junior School; we are a busy and friendly school with lots going on!
Our aim is to provide a quality education for every child so that they achieve their full potential. Our staff are committed to supporting all of our children, not only through the careful match of their learning programmes, but also through promoting their personal and social development.
“Working Together for Excellence” is extremely important to us.
We are keen to raise standards in all areas and believe that children learn best through direct experience. Our pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning and we develop their confidence and independence. We promote high standards of behaviour and believe that children should develop strong moral values and respect for others in our community.
We work hard to make our school a happy and stimulating environment and to provide learning experiences that will develop the essential skills in English and mathematics and also give children the opportunity to have other experiences within a broad curriculum.
We value the support of parents and members of our community and want our pupils to leave us with happy memories of their time at Weyford Junior School.
